My whole life people have tried to tell me that what I was trying to do was wrong / impossible / a waste of time and, my whole life, I have constantly proved them wrong. Or, at the very least, had a lot of fun trying. Malcolm McLaren once said "I would rather be a flamboyant failure than a benign success" - a statement I wholeheartedly agree with. If we are, as I suspect, only here the once, surely we should live life on our own terms? Why follow rules that you weren't consulted on and that were made before you even existed? Seems totally illogical to me. I'm not saying go break the law for the sake of it, I'm saying follow your own path. Dream big, aim high. We'll all be dust and bones in the end so you may as well just go for it!
